The Windows CD Key is required if you need to reinstall Windows. If you have lost the CD Key, You can find it in the Registry by looking for this string:
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\WindowsNT\CurrentVersion
Look for the string in the right pane titled 'ProductID'. The CD Key will be digits 6 thru 15.
